Blue Skies - View Around Trail Ridge Road on Flickr.
This one was shot at the Trail Ridge Road, at Rocky Mountain National Park. We stopped our car, and I walked a while, as I could see some elks (do you see them?) It was a beautiful summer day!
The Delicate Arch on Flickr.
The Delicate Arch appeared all of a sudden at the end of a strenuous trail from the parking lot, at Arches National Park, in Utah. This arch is hidden from view, and the only way to get up-close to it is to hike about a mile and a half, under the harsh sun and a steady incline. No wonder this is one of the most photographed arches in the world. People seemed to flock around the base of the arch, taking pictures.
I had to wait till sunset, to be able to photograph the arch without any people around it :)
Bright Side of the Moon on Flickr.
Its 2 days since the full moon. With the right edge slowly being engulfed in the shadows, I was easily able to capture the details of the craters along the circumference.
The moon, unfortunately, does not look all that beautiful from such close-up / zoom.
The Heart of the Antelope on Flickr.
Looking up, I saw an opening in the ceiling of the upper Antelope Canyon, and the light falls perfectly, illuminating the adjoining walls, giving an illusion of a heart shaped vent carved on the rocks.
The Majestic Double Arch on Flickr.
Another remarkable arch at the Arches National Park. Its sheer size makes it one of the stunning natural structures I have ever seen.
The “Delicate” Arch at sunset on Flickr.
After an hour of strenuous hike (with no shelter from the scorching heat of the sun), we reached the Delicate Arch, one of the most famous arches in the world. At the north east corner of Arches National Park in Utah, it is indeed a natural wonder which leaves you spell bound. The arch appears all of a sudden around a corner at the end of the trail. I had to wait till the sunset to capture the arch with all its color.
Definitely a hike worth taking, if you are planning to visit the national park.
Lights and Shadows on Flickr.
One of the darker areas in the Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona. Upper Antelope is at about 4,000 feet elevation and the canyon walls rise 120 feet above the streamed, located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation.
The spring from the Hanging Lake on Flickr.
Shot while hiking to the Hanging Lake, near Glenwood Springs, in Colorado, USA. Just at the beginning of the trail, we stopped for a while to shoot a couple of shots of the stream. This stream will be our companion for the next couple of hours! Shot in RAW, and converted to B&W in Adobe Lightroom.
Trail Ridge Road, Rocky Mountain, Colorado on Flickr.
Trail Ridge Road is the name for a stretch of U.S. Highway 34 and is the highest continuous highway in the United States. Also known as Trail Ridge Road/Beaver Meadow National Scenic Byway, it traverses Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes Park, Colorado in the east to Grand Lake, Colorado in the west. It crosses the Continental Divide at Milner Pass (elev. 10,758 ft/3,279 m) and reaches a maximum elevation of 12,183 ft (3,713 m), near Fall River Pass (elev. 11,796 ft/3,595 m). Near the highest point on the road is another pass, Iceberg Pass (elev. 11,827 ft/3,604 m).
Trail Ridge Road is closed during the winter, and often remains closed until late spring or early summer depending on the snowpack. (text source: Wikipedia)

“What are you looking at?” on Flickr.
An elk at the Rocky Mountain National Park. He seemed a bit annoyed with me clicking pictures of him, and started walking away.
Sunrise at Grand Canyon on Flickr.
A view of sunrise on 4th July from Yaki Point. The right peak is called the “Vishnu Temple”. At 5:15 AM, the Yaki Point is one of the best places in Grand Canyon to view the sunrise.
Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona on Flickr.
A visit to the Upper Antelope Canyon is a beautiful experience.
The canyon is made up of Navajo sandstone. The canyon was made by the erosion of this sandstone, primarily by flash flooding. When the canyon was discovered, herds of prong-horned antelope roamed the area.
I realized that photographs don’t do justice to the beauty of the canyons. This place needs to be visited in person to experience its beauty. The trip through Antelope Canyon is an easy walk on a level, sandy path.
This is a shot of the entrance from within the canyon. I visited the canyon during the end of the day, so was able to shoot a lot of pictures without getting too many people in these pictures.
Sunset at Horseshoe Bend, Arizona on Flickr.
Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. The bend is locally known as “King Bend.” It is located five miles (8.5 km) downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about four miles or 6 km southwest of Page. Accessible via a ¾-mile (1.2 km) hike from U.S. Route 89, it can be viewed from the steep cliff above. According to Google terrain maps, the overlook is 4,200 feet above sea level and the Colorado River is at 3,200 feet above sea level making it a breathtaking 1,000 foot drop. (Wikipedia)
Shot during my recent trip to Arizona.
